edge of reason

By a_deception_unto_myself

walking along a cliff of darkness,
i paused to embrace the silence
and found you there,
perched along the edge
like a diver about to jump,
and before i could arm myself
you turned
and pierced me
with ur eyes of endless starlight
and long forgotten dreams,
and in my blinded state,
I tripped upon ur smile
and fell off the edge of reason

and now I am but a

angel of oblivion
lost forever to skies
of innocent abandon
as i fell through
pools of moonlight
that mirror back
all that i have lost
and all that i might gain
