Of Branks and Bridles (Devil's night out)

By Efamilia

Another night of
Branks and bridles
Bitch slap confessionals
Legless fools
Paying homage to
Drunken dogs

Baying wolves
Howling
Hoping
To swallow the moon

A three ring circus
Masters of puppets
Calling card entourage
Glass eyes
White-line-fever
Wiretap halo
Shotglass symphony

A cold room
With no view
Blackened windows
Blackened hearts
Highway leeway

*BANG*

The Devil dances

Clean it up
Let’s go for a drink!

(The sun longs to bring her home; but any warmth
is lost to the cold moon that holds her)
