The World Askew

By Storm

The world askew,
like a reflection in a broken mirror,
and in it I misplaced my thanatos.

Today gravity handed in its resignation
And I’m being held up by invisible threads.
No falling though falling’s due.
No running with scissors,
Even if I ask you to.
