A 21st century Lullaby

By physicalgraffiti

She,
she screams in silence,
she holds her breath until it's impossible to let go.

He,
He sees her crying,
and suddenly all the tears he never knew start to flow.

She calls his name along with S.O.S. but no one ever shows. She's losing her grip and slipping away, her worlds leaving her behind.

Tears,
They fall like rain.
But soon enough the sun is forced to dry them away.

He,
He holds her hand, trying to restrain her fingers from finding a blade.

She,
she sees him drink, and kisses his lips to restrain him from taking a sip.

They,
They realize, that they need each other to stay in this world with a soul.

She,
She drops her knife, and soon enough the scars she grew heal away.

He,
He drains his alcohol from his blood and love is replaced.
