  • "OMG I LOVE IT. What a magnificently written piece. This "Somewhere along the way God exploded into illegal things" is awesome, and it's far from alone. This is brilliantly crafted, clever, witty, engaging, original and if I don't have a bookmark spare, I'm deleting stuff until I do. The soft, understated conclusion is all the more powerful for its restraint; outstanding, you, all of it."

Without knowing much at all about Boston I am immediately drawn into those streets, the events and lives of the people, you're right about The Departed and The Town, and Gone Baby Gone.. it captures an atmospheric naturalism that gets into your head, your humanity, it's like a place that anybody could have grown up in and you can easily place yourself there, plus I absolutely adore the accent. Gosh you mention some of my favourite movies, I also love Once upon a time in America, Magnolia, 2001: a space odyssey which I think is so eloquent on the subject of human existence and knowledge and religion.. also been introduced to Mike Leigh films, there is an philosophical thinker, he doesn't alienate that section of society that people push out of their minds, he has a way with artistic realism and casts such a sympathetic light on people's suffering.. I will need to watch Mean Streets again, thank you!!!"

  • "wistful and enveloping, winding journey that asks for more than one quick foray down its streets. the last three lines of stanza 3 are particularly evocative and effective in bringing tangible depth; simply, beautifully written. reflection and introspection throughout, thoughtful and enveloping, and its understated conclusion marvellously done. (Tinytypo thingy - stanza 4 opens a bracketed segment but never closes it...)"

  • "such a rich tapestry of culture and imagery woven with hues of soul searching, tragedy and the suggestion of occult carried along by a wonderment of music...... I did a brief search for the aforementioned..... I read this as a tribute.... but found only a composer named Theodore. A beautiful read... well composed.... beyond well.... and a journey of loss... a journey that is as tragic as at times whimsical and reflective.... a profound conjunction of music and spirituality... at the nexus, where we find ourselves faced with the choice of a lifetime, perhaps..... *bows* thank you for sharing your art."
