A Dream No More

By EnlightenedFailure

Maybe it’s the way you run your hands through my hair...
Or how just looking at you makes me smile...

We lay now, swaying to and fro...
A rhythmic squeak ringing out…
It fades away into the background…
Joined soon by attention-deprived barks…

We lay,
Your head gently resting on me…
Your presence puting me at ease,
I close my eyes,
And again it is you I see…

I feel your lips gently kiss my hand,
So surreal is the moment,
A train races pass drowning out squeaks n’ barks,
I open my eyes…

Your still there…
The love still in your eyes,
The care still in your touch,
You still in my embrace…

A dream no longer a dream…
