Sanctuary

By Rock Faerie

There would be suction cups at the bottom of my feet everytime I'd step into the artificial rain. Every smooth droplet penetrates my skin with searing heat as the vapor soars above me. The warmth unravels into a sudden anesthetic shield; a shield that is no longer there. Never again will I feel protected against my own inhibitions. Never again will I be able to entrust myself into a world where fire will not melt passion.
