its a good day to die

By Darkflame

It is a good day to cry
for knowing loss for feeling grief
a day to mown so many things
the end of youth the death of belief
for the dreams that are lost
and can never be found
for the proud soaring spirit
crippled and earth bound
for the hopes died in childbirth
the songs unsung
for all the wines untasted
and bells unwung
for the children grown old
before it's time
for the summit's that's readed
without a climb
for the road not traveled
and the kindness not done
for all the bright shinning momments
that are here and then gone
the iridescent bubbles in childhood
inviting he rich promising so much
epheneral glimpses of happiness
that dissolve with a touch
for the rich glowing colors
that had faded to gray
rainbows were never meant to hold
they always slip away
it is a good day for someone
a good day to cry
perhaps it is a also
a good day to die.
