Nothing I Am

By HattoriHanzo

I don’t feel like I’m worthless . . . but I know I am.
I know next to you I am nothing.
You have charisma and personality and wit and charm
And I have nothing but an angry pen and broken pride.

But I feel, oh yes, I feel every single last bit
Of the Nothing I Am.
If worthlessness was a dollar amount
Then I am the total plus tax . . .

At least next to you I am that.

No one wants to be around a Nobody . . .
Who does nothing . . . but write these wicked rants
Sick of life . . . but I’m looking for something.
I don’t know what it is just yet

But when I find it I hope that
my value will appreciate.
