Self-preservation motivates
By TheDismantled
......self-preservation motivates......
truth's indignity
cuts deep to depths of my bone's resolve.
long, so long has it been since happenstance's cause to reflect,
that I'm wishing away fate's chance meeting,
with guilt, much guilt and a loan shark's empathy.
self-preservation's never been so much fun.
a widowing death kiss,
weighed down, held breath.
in the still waters of midnight's shallows.
please drowned.
this is the cost of nuclear proliferation..........
............boommmmmm.................
everything dies, but should all end in seconds?
fuck it, if you kill us.......
we will kill you back.
well, in all my prolixity,
i can't manage a fitting allegory.
my leisure makes demands,
tucked under vails of misbegotten friendship.
we met, we kissed, and I'm weak with indifference.
(America's views on U.N relations)
hold my hand,
my fledgling footing tends to challenge.
the shadow claims another.
walk with me,
arm in arm.
till the end of all things,
and red dawns the black cloak horizon.
look far off.....
can you see oblivion?
