Perhaps it is the unknown,
Perhaps it is the unidentified,
Whatever it may be,
It remains to be seen,
It has no path,
Nothing to call its history,
Nothing to trace its existents to,
But perhaps it needs none,
Perhaps it is simply non-existent,
Living in a state of animated suspension,
Paused until activated,
Frozen in carbonate,
Shadows in the darkness,
Is this is final state of being?
Worthless until noted?
Perhaps,
But, then again,
It may just be resting,
Waiting,
For what,
I do not have that answer,
The answer,
It is a blank,
A clean slate,
Waiting,
Waiting for the start of a script,
The ticking of time,
The need of use,
Perhaps that is it,
Perhaps it is simply waiting,
Waiting,
Waiting for me,
Waiting for me to complete its destiny,
To take use of it and make it mine,
What is it?
It is culture,
It is character,
It is the self that I am,
It is me,
I am waiting,
Waiting for the past,
The present,
But above all,
The future,
I have no script,
I have no requirements,
Simply a blank slate,
Waiting,
Waiting for the start of a new script,
A new life,
For my destiny is not written,
It is not decided prior to my existence,
Because,
I write my own script,
I write my own life.
