Misfortune Of The Heart

By EnlightenedFailure

My heart jumps on
It holds on tight
So perfect it feels
For it’s in you care
Open are its feelings
Real are its emotions
Thoughtful are your words
Unique is your life
No more is the pain
Exhilarating is life

Out of nowhere it then came
Fear it instilled

Thoughts raced through my head
Hopes were dashed
Enlightenment was given

Hopelessness it showed
Entitled to love I was not
A glimmer of happiness
Real no more
Tomorrow is no more
