Jealousy

By Overactive Insomniac

This sounds more like a song in my head:

Your eyes stare at me
From across the room

Come with me
See what I can do

Hand in hand
You follow through

You feel your skin burn
From the slap that he threw

Jealousy
You see me
Jealousy
I can see you
Jealousy
Your heart bleeds
Jealousy
I feed off of you

You walk through the night
Alone in the dark

A whisper away
Your throat he has torn

Spirits and souls
Enmeshed in the broil

You slump to the ground
And you lay there unknown

Jealousy
You see me
Jealousy
I can see you
Jealousy
Your heart bleeds
Jealousy
I feed off of you

He walks away crying
His laughter is shrill

His hands they are cold
From the blood on them still

He sees through the red
At the blood as it runs

But it matters not now
At the damage he’s done

Jealousy
You see me
Jealousy
I can see you
Jealousy
Your heart bleeds
Jealousy
He’s finished with you
