The Path
By Overactive Insomniac
Light darkens the path
Sight hides the trail
Deafness in the midst of
A cacophony of sound
What is this blindness that we feel?
Loss in the midst of abundance
Alone in the face of security
Endeavoring, striving, yearning
For the infinite freedom
Of confinement
Hoping for the end of this new beginning
But not
Knowing nothing, knowing all
Quietly screaming
The unheard voices
Receding into a din
We all walk this ground
Never seeing the stars
Only the sky
And never knowing, why

Thank you, thank you. This was written oh so many years ago. Dusted it off, and found it was still in pretty good condition. Glad you liked it.
