there she stood....[my sleeping beauty]

By kiss of the dark

there she stood,
a bright smile painted on her face,
eyes dusted with lavender shadow....

she was laughing lightly as I looked at her....
skinny jeans wrapped around her ankles, so darling....

oh, how I loved the honeyed
sunshine that caused her to glow,
her solemn eyes caressing every thought that perched on my tongue...

she was slow dancing underneath artificial snowflakes,
a beautiful overture for this morning....

along with magickal white pills that rained
from her fingers as they hit the cheap linoleum floor...

like sleeping beauty,
she stepped back and collapsed into my arms....

but even with my kiss of true love, she did not wake....
