Broken Toy

By darkversion

My heart is:
broken, torn, stitched up, and fixed up,
with scars here and empty holes there.
It's disease-ridden and whats that smell?
It seems to be rotting!

Needles and jolts,
stitches and bolts
I've tried it all but,
it won't seem to work.
Play around with it
I won't mind
throw it like a ball
or kick it and watch it go up and down.
I've tried it all but it won't seem to work.
Drinking is the cure,
novacaine won't seem to work
What can I do?

Play with my heart
I'll be your new toy
and after you brake it
you may borrow my friends.
I've tried it all but it won't seem to work.

The heart. Wouldn't be nice to rip that sucker out and put it on the shelf for a while? Great poem. JD
