Alone Together

By VVsinisterfairyVV

Stares from across the room, dripping with contempt.
Words never spoken,
Promises always broken,
Confined together as strangers.

Kisses meant for others,
Touches, glances…
Spiteful, angry…
Embraces as painful as death.

Smiles for show,
Laughs and giggles follow the script.
Aching souls struggle line for line,
Wishing art imitated life and all was truly fine.

Friends come and go,
Never to fully know,
We are eternally bound,
Weeping without a sound…

Alone together…

Ah, I see. So it's a fake relationship put on for show. In the end someone always gets hurt. Nice work.
