Count on You

By midnight siren

Floating somewhere between hell & purgatory
Watching each face & hearing every story
Mislead by my innocence
They bind my arms & they kill my defense
They pretend to know the secrets of my soul
The screaming bells start to toll
But I whose ears are plugged with lies
Refuse to heed to their warnful cries

*I see myself all tattered & torn
I gather the remains & compare them to who I was before
So many things have come to pass
Can I count on you to last

Each promise they made was just an illusion
To occupy with mass confusion
Oblivious to their game
Reluctant to realize they're all the same
Each one of them stole a part of me
I see your eyes & my heart starts to bleed
I see yourself as one of them
Unsure if I can love again

*I see myself all tattered & torn
I gather the remains & compare them to who I was before
So many things have come to pass
Can I count on you to last

Can't really see how you've come to be & I'm
Too afraid to mention
The fear that resides, the pain inside, the
Paranoia of your intention

*I see myself all tattered & torn
I gather the remains & compare them to who I was before
So many things have come to pass
Can I count on you to last

In my defense I'm glad that they exist
Otherwise I can't see myself through this again
