Pretty Bloodstained Marble

By Lucklost

Bloody Hands embrace the coldness of marble.
Dried blood looks unreal to the innocent eyes of Today.

A silver steeple point, crusted into his frail skin.
Seconds thoughts arising;
Breath shortening as he comes back to reality.

I urge him to go on, and that it will only hurt for a second.
He seems hesitant, but willing.
My smile creeps onto my face, cursed with the devil's
Sin.

His cherubic face is unforgettable:
Blue eyes stare into the dark abyss of today...
Never blinking, always watching;

Terrified of what the next moment will bring.

Palor cheeks have forever lost the warmth of the rose...
His breath shortens; his mouth opens.
Scarred edges of the steeple enter him...

His voice peirces the awkward silence as he says
"Forgive me!" over and over, each time getting louder.
The climax is broken in a second...

The knife clangs on the sea of marble as it falls.
His eyes want to give in to sleep, but he fights on.
Memories flash before his blue eyes.

He reaches out for me, flailing around like
A fish suffocating out of water.

A single tear shimmers in his right eye.
The eye closes as the tear unwillingly rolls down his cheek
Onto his chapped lips.

I kiss him one last time,
knowing that it is over.
