Sunrise

By Shatterdtearsangl

every morning she walked the road
one step after the other
all alone and cold
each day just like the other
the walk was monotonous and gray
there was nothing good about
it was not until one chilly day
deciding to look the other way
upon turning around
seeing what missed the whole time
seeing something most wished for
always noticed but never payed attention to
the sight sent a pleasant chill
down my spine
a beautiful morning sunrise
which has been behind the whole time

gazing into the beautiful sunrise
my heart is filled with warmth and light glow
with a newer hope for the morrow
and days to come
