Missing

By addicted_angel

I climb back inside this box for you
Just another captive novelty to be placed upon your shelf
Of broken parts and missing buttons
The shelf of things that once held your attention
A collection you swore you could not live without
Now laying dusty and half whole
No longer requiring the pleasure of your presence
Still I wait patiently for just the glimpse of you
As you open the door and add to our ensemble
Wait for the day when you open
The door and see me and say
Oh there you are
I seemed to have misplaced you and
Have been searching for you so.
