safety pins

By precarious pixie

if you would only reveal yourself
just a sliver of a grin
perhaps I wouldn't scar myself
with dirty safety pins
if you would let me kiss the wounds
beyond your pretty skin
perhaps I wouldn't hate myself
and let the bloody temptaion win

your wild and confused
untamed and a muse
maybe if i hadn't learned first hand
I wouldn't scar my sun kissed skin
with knife in hand

the more I feel I love you
I kill you with affection
the more I try to know you
you kill me with rejection

I wish I could effect you
like the way u make me feel within
u turned my world up side down
and i landed on a saftey pin
