chemical dreams

By forbidden

cigarette after cigarette
mixed with caffeine
makes for some bad dreams

where the world is a board
i'm just a nail
and all my fears are the hammer
that drive me right in
to the wall

so you can cover me up
beneath a fresh painted canvas grave
that's a s pretty
as man can possibly make it be

so only the light
can come shining in
like a gust of old wind
thru a time torn raggedy sail

well there's an empty bottle
where a full one once stood

and oh how it's left me
all alone in this mess
with some now slightly
more distant regret

I like it. It has a certain beat that makes you think there's something more to be said. Awesome job.
