The Stork

By Dark Galaxy

Sky is incomplete.
Barren between shapeless clouds,
it unfolds its wings like a stork
and draws its breath
through your full belly –
swallowing our secret whole.

I cover my eyes.
How easy
life shatters before it is begun.

There are only bad dreams on the ground
and nothing keeps you here.
Looking up
you become a plane,
silver as water

and cut the sky in two.
