Eternally lingering

By smearedXmakeup

The candles in my eyes burn softly awaiting your touch.
The diary of my heart keeps writing pages of hope that you'll soon be near.
The lock to my love is begging to be opened, awaiting the key holders return.
the stars in the sky tell me not to give up, so i don't.
but it's so hard.
I need you.
I beg for your presence if only for one last instant,
scream for your voice if only for one last word.
Are you ever coming back?
...ever?
It's so hard just holding onto a memory.
I want you here.
I want you; I want to see your face again.
I want the stars to turn again,
the sun to set or rise.
I wan, no i need, to come out of the darkness.
My candles are almost burnt out...
I can't hold on to your memory for much longer.
But i will.
No matter the pain,
I promise you love...
I'll wait for your touch as long as it takes,
Even if I'm waiting forever.
