Yes, Daddy

By Vindicated_untouchable

Each morning she wakes
With the same feeling,
The feeling of betrayal;
Betrayal to herself.
She cannot fight
For what she wants.
Worse,
She cannot fight
Against what she doesn’t.

She’s but a girl
Forced to do a woman’s job.
She blames herself
For her vulnerability,
Screams at herself
For her weakness.
She tries to be strong each night,
But how can she be?

Daughters are supposed
To obey their fathers.
