Into the Dark

By rage_angel

The knife always goes deeper
When it comes from behind
Straight into the back
Shredding all future hopes
That life will be good
The way it should
You used me for your enjoyment
Not giving me a second thought
Just tossed me aside when you were done
You just turned and were gone
Cut off all the ties
That would hold you back
The wall I had built
Only goes up higher
For whatever the future will hold
Until I grow old
The knife will always be there
To remind me of the unforgivable
And the never-ending pain
You tortured me with your sick game
I never had a choice
But I became a life-time player
I'll never be able to forget
The way it feels
To no longer wish to live
For the pain is unbearable
And the fear is unforgetable
Will these feelings ever subside
I no longer wish to hide
You turned away and never looked back
Out of my life and into the dark
Is where you walked
