Truth or Dare

By Lexicon

I dare you to love me,
I dare you to try.
Call me beautiful to my face,
And look me straight in the eye.

Could it be,
That the only time you can be utterly sincere,
With feelings of the heart is when we're making love
And you whisper into my ear?

I dare you to comfort me,
I dare you to try.
When you turn me away in all my desperate glory,
I dare you to make me smile.

Dont you see
That love has found me wounded
and there's no rhyme or reason why?

I dare you to stand unaffected,
I dare you to try.
Behold the past and the love smeared on my face
And demand it to stand aside.
