for every
By MarshallWalker
for every princess there must be a prince
what makes a princess only she knows
but what makes a prince is what makes a king
boys are not kings, men are not princes
malicious violent disrespect knows no boundaries
the oppressed, their discordant hatred
without honor, without respect, they burn astray
a king, united within himself, true from end to end
resilient to power, relinquished of need
unburdened by worthlessness, quiet even in war
standing tall, defenseless, unsurmountable
a boy grows into a prince and does not forget who he was
but a king must tuck the boy away, hidden from sight
hidden in the arms of his queen, the gentle night
