Dreams of You

I dreamt of you last night bathed in candlelight,
Body partially adorned in satin sheets,
Your skin like silk under my fingertips,
Tracing the shadows that dance across your body,
Drawing with it into memory every line, every detail,
The sweet torture of your scent lingering in air,
Breathing you into my lungs and to taste you on my tongue.
Sticky sweet like fresh honey dripping down my face,
Warm waves washing over me first pushing me out,
Then carrying me deeper inside you.
I dreamt of us last night,
Souls entwined, hearts beating as one,
Keeping perfect time and rhythm.
Only to wake and find the sweet taste still on my lips.
