The Wall

By forbidden

frozen in time,
that face of black.
bearing an immortal tear of sorrow,
caught in his dying pose.

a life once spent in folly,
stripped, and cut.
for by the masters hands,
he's bound to that anguish.

once painted in colors vivid,
hours endless,
took their toll.
tainted gray,
not quite so bold.

with a future so damn bleak,
it's all he can do not to weep.

water splashes,
bitter with cold; frozen.
rushed by a rage so strong,
another reminder of mortality.

captured still by time,
stuck inside this wall.
knowing no light.
this hell bearing only one name
