Whisper No Longer

The sun beats down, everyday to the ground below
We are but small, insignificant substances
Slowly erased without notice until it’s gone
Never even sure we were here

The clouds that settle over sky
Blocking out the light that darkens the corners
That prays on the lost souls without heart
Take no part in the deaths and lies
That is nothing but our alibis

The eyes that see nothing in true form
Can’t handle the heat radiating from the core
Back up until the wall is now your brace against the force
The clock keeps ticking away as the sand falls down
The end is coming near, sooner than one can ever know
Where did it all go
Except now its gone and you have nothing to show

Time ceases as the speed of the world increases
All around time flies but the movement is slow
An erratic flight took each turn
But now the silence covers the area and it’s unbearable
Nothing but a whisper in the night
