a rare jewel

you are such a rare find
your beauty, and your faith in me
they make me want you for mine
i know you are my friend
but a lover is what i want to be
you are the girl i want to see
i want to hold you all the night
to cherish you always
and to make everything right
for you i will do whatever it takes
for love alone
and to all others i will foresake
