my death

By lonelygurl

to them my death is a game
a pity really, such a shame

i lie there dead
my ears they hear what you've said

one voice moans then a cry
another filters in such a lonesome sigh

the tears slide down your grieving face
if only you knew how my heart did race

the pain is gone, an empty thought
if you only knew how hard i had fought

the will to live somehow ebbed
along this path to which i lead

my blood is gone, i am cold
whose last hand will i hold?

upon myself i bring this death
welcome it with such graceful stealth

to lie upon the ashes of life
no one knowing of my strife

i stare upon my reflection deep
knowing now the peace of sleep
