Sincerity
By Lexicon
Voids are foolishly filled,
With material possession, alcohol and perscription pills.
True sorrow and emotion are combated by self-destruction,
And subdued by personality skewing, mind altering substances
Ernest, desperate, eduring love is dismissed,
And false feelings from conterfeit prophets persist.
My eyes, which once could penetrate these lies,
Are now cast down in dispair,
I no longer look to the skies.
I no longer decipher the difference
I no longer see what is there.
