Female Hero

By gracefullytorn

an expanse of clouded skys
and clouded minds
yellow tinted skin
scars appropriately placed
brains bent on blinking blasphemy
of a God that doesn't exist
squares of light stacked high
going out one by one
weakening the structure
white cells hard at work
will eventually die
when there's no more work to be done
and the walls are all encased
side by side
built up strong once
once upon a long time ago
the unconcerned syringe rolled away
from limp fingers
smiling
