Broken Down

By forbidden

you are a shadow,
feeding my eternal curiousity,
with only one hope,
just to hold you.

these feelings, my saving grace.
had you not been,
neither would I, my life,
extinguished out of hate.

I owe you everything.
all I have left, no longer mine.
falling into the trap,
each day living in anguish.

long before you came,
I built a fortress.
A flawless castle,
it's walls now lay broken.

like an invading army,
you've demolished my only defences,
now left in ruin.
this life complete anarchy.
