Scars

By Arsonick

Now I have these scars to bear,
Looking back, you're never there,
Painful memories of you abound,
Your betrayals, my soul surround.

Thought you were the one I trust,
Always fake, to my disgust,
Abandoned me, when I needed,
Was your brother, now defeated.

Never there for me,
Always haunting me,
Why could you never see,
The pain that you've set free?

Days and days go by,
I stay and wonder why,
You left me here to die,
With pain beneath my eyes.

Always alone and beaten,
Someday my heart you'll see, then,
How sick of your lies I became,
Forgotten soul that screams in pain.

As I stand, I am broken.
My last chance, words you've spoken,
My trust you've taken and betrayed,
My life, this hell that you have made.

This is actually a song I'm writing but it started out as a poem so that's why I listed it in poetry. Well, this is my first poem that I've posted on DarkPoetry so I hope you enjoy. -Nick
