chameleon

By comablackout

Ive done no wrongs
but to listen to you
ive told no lies
but the ones you heard
ive sinned no sins
but the ones ive liked
ive held no loves
but the one i hold now
my eyes have never opened before now
the sharpness of light like needles in the skin
bearing pain and permanance
black marks on the fresh white record
stained like never before
ive kept my insides in
until now
now i bear them on my skin
leisons from the inside
abrasive feelings on the skin
times have changed
so have i
im still dark
but not black
ive gone grey
slowly to white
then back
im a chameleon
but im not
i change for my own needs
not for theirs
and thats how it will stay
camoflauge has never been my thing
but i wear it well
