laces abandoned for nooses

By gracefullytorn

vivid vocabulary drenched in scorn
eye contact is useless when only reflections are seen
lost in the darkness of the pupil
most only see themselves
but are quick to stomp on others barefooted
each leaving the other slightly
bereft of their niave security
marveling at their own shiny images
the prints dug deeper
with laces abandoned for nooses
