my thoughts turned to you
wishing there was more I could do.
In the night
my mind on you does ponder
as your expectations do fonder.
In the night
my words I offer up to you
wishing your hurts away I wish I could do.
In the night
I feel your spirit churning
as your hurts are you burning.
In the night
I would touch your brow
As your agile dreams do prowl.
In the night
I will wait for you to exhaust your doubts
and accept not all are treacherous, some are devout.
In the night
my thoughts are of you
waiting while your heart and mind works things through.
