Shadowed Shadow

By shadowwv

Shadow’s trust
Does lie in the shadowed dust.
Shadow’s soul
Does fall into the shadowed trap.
Shadow’s spirit
Does bow its head in the shadowed wind.
Shadow’s heart
Does beat in the shadowed silence.
Shadow’s love
Does survive in the shadowed depths.
Shadow’s existence
Does mark out a shadowed life.
Shadow’s hope
Does somehow march on in the shadows.

  • A former member wrote: "...the shadowed silence." this is a splendid use of mixed metaphors w/ the occasional dead (yet witful) metaphor... and the poetry play on the letter S rolls slicely off the shadowed tongue...the poetic style of 'alliteration' rules...

  • A former member wrote: U may already no of the book, but if not, AMERICAN GODS is a story about a shadow, a man named Shadow (who just spent 3 yrs. in prison) & all his demented shadows; shadows of multiple personalities...
