Innocence

By no_independence

Innocence of childhood long past
I no longer feel complete
Everything goes by so fast
slipping away from under my feet

Could I go back?
To the sweet ignorance of youth
for I feel that somehow I lack
and no longer know the truth

Will you save me?
Will you care?
For deep inside
I can not hide
this pain I can not bear.
