Heartbreak Waltz

By Elizabeth

If only I could taste your kisses as often as my tears,
If only you could hold me close, and revoke my fears.
I harbor a feeling that nobody knows,
My lonlines intensafys my regrets and woes.
Horrors so unspeakable, they won't escape my lips.
A child so unkeepable, it couldn't escape my hips.
Our baby waits in heaven for a more timely return, while I learn,
you play with fire, you get burned.
This pain might be bareable if I could see your eyes,
Betray my love in public, not have to hide.
Merely the thought mends and melts my soul,
And in a lovers embrace, once again am I whole.
