Death Of A Heart
By Elizabeth
All the days we spent together,
Looking into eachother's eyes,
was worth the years
we both shed tears
because we'll be together when we die.
It's dark in here and I can't tell,
if I cry or if I'm well.
All I know is one thing's true,
I've lost everything because I've lost you.
You miss me too, I know you do,
they've ripped our hearts from one to two.
My eyes once brown now are black,
tinged with red with tears attack.
I can't see ahead, I dwell in the past,
while my heart mends in an unreachable cast

I would hate to leav a comment that led you to believe that the concept of this poem is something to cling to forever...its ok to learn from. But i hope what you learn most is that you're worth more than this

but i do love the wording and imagery and the depth of emotion.....careful not to cut too far in... you catch that artery and it will be the only artery that will bleed forever just to keep you alive
