Desperate to live again

By Quovis

I waited for you my darling
Sat by the phone
Watching out the window
Yet not a shadow did I see
Not a whisper did I hear

I waited for you my darling
But my hope now is fading
And tear stung eyes
Have begun to heal

I still wait for you baby
Day after day
Night after night
I long for your touch

“choke”

Where is your love now?
For so long it was you who kept me alive
Have your abandoned me?
Left me here to die?

Save me my love,
For I still wait
And wonder
Desperate to live again
