a map to nowhere - two

By TheCellphoneNovelist

two ; a map to remembering ; a map to forgetting ;
darkness coats the moon ; an exit strategy ; only
in light can you disappear completely ; in darkness
only be found ; memory does not want to be found ;
it wants to be hugged, melting in soft arms ; melting
in a children’s palm like strawberry ice ; remember
dry summer days ; sand burning your feet ;
remember wind whipping your hair away from
the ocean ; remember raising castles on dunes ;
remember running down on dunes ;
remember kissing ; long promenades of white ;
remember kissing ; waves hitting the harbor ;
remember kissing ; don’t forget sunscreen.
