By Fadedmemory

She speaks to me in the night.
Whispering softly into my ear.
Fading away with the morning light.
As melding shadows disappear.

She walks with me in my dream.
Beauty does compel the night.
Cold black eyes sparkle and gleam.
Reasuring hands hold me tight.

She confides in me her desire.
Persuading me to carry on.
Lifting my soul ever higher.
Each time I wake she has gone.

She pleads with me to take heed.
Asking me to stay by her side.
Promising me everything I need.
Within her kingdom I should reside.

So many times I refused her advance.
Choosing to rise another day.
Stepping away from the shadows dance.
Keeping her embrace at bay.

Tonight her words fill my aching heart.
Tonight she offers to pay my toll.
Tonight this world I do part.
Tonight she collects another soul.
