Believe

By Valhalla

I sat there with a book in my hand
My heartbeat pounding
My grief surrounding
A diamond turned to cold sand

"Do you believe?" you asked
"Yes I do.
I do it for you."
Our lies of crimson masked

We were not the same and our motives were hidden
The dove didn't fly, for flying was forbidden
How could I know, though sensing your sorrow,
That deep in your soul you saw no tomorrow

Erase
Now from this empty shell that once was a man
The last traces of hope
That tomorrow can be
That faith is the answer
That answers lie in faith

"But your heart must survive"
– A voice tears through the veil –
"Because I am the light
Because I am the way"
