Hurricane

By Humanfly

I want you
Like addicts to ecstasy
In your ethereal self, in your darkest glory
Your wind will crush my heart blow after blow, but
I want you
Even when you're out of control

If you're air and water
I'm a desolate land
You uproot my surface into a beautiful mess
Stop this devastating madness, or I'll break when you're gone
I'm leaving my safe house just to get in the eye of your storm

It sucked me dry, every kiss you gave
So I vowed for this love to go away
But in this lifetime all I ask is to be in your cage
So I gave in again, and again I stayed

Fire to Ice, Ice to Fire
It hurts to hold close, both desires
But for now I’d choose my mysterious liar
For better or worse, just not forever

It must be lonely on top
To be addicted to this sadness
Where at the end of your funnel
You stood in absolute darkness
And the light, it shines from the opposite course
So I blind myself, afraid the light will render me lost
As I force through your walls, defying fate, I know
To find your embrace is to fall from grace

But I don’t care if I have no reason to stay
I don’t want God’s forgiveness, I don’t want to pray
Between this fine line of the light and the night
I tipped over, and stopped putting up a fight
If your violent love will start a holocaust
I must be insane to keep holding on
Stronger than Earth’s gravitational force
As you continue to break, and break my resolve

Your destruction is mine
Take me in your chaos and destroy everything in its wake
